Breastfeeding is hard. There I said it. But it doesn’t have to be.
I’m no expert, I was the mom who gave up because of the false info and lack of help provided by my hospital.
Please get a lactation expert and do your homework because if I have a second baby now I feel 10x more confident because I’ve had time to read and mourn over the fact that I gave up.
I mean it, I cried, I felt like the biggest failure on the planet.
Helpful tips that could of saved me:
Nipple shields help when your baby isn’t latching correctly.
Don’t express milk until 6 weeks into breast feeding.
Invest in a hakka
Keep trying, and supplimenting with formula is ok, a fed baby is a happy baby.
And if in the end it’s not for you, at least you tried.
